Great service! Great food !.. if youre looking for a good king crab .. this is the place!

Tried for the first time. Seafood house, so, I order Fish & Chips. Waitress says it’s ‘white fish’ menu says Cod Fillets. OK, out it comes, in a bowl. Fries on bottom, chunks of cod on top w/lemon wedge. Cod was OK, fries/chips were a disappointment; crinkle cut, like the ones I pull out of my freezer when I’m desperate. Soggy, sticking together. Disappointing, considering the price, and no sides.Wife orders half rack of ribs. Very disappointing, partially tough, not tender like ribs should be. Sides were skimpy with the ribs. Overpriced and disappointing.

We started with the ahi tuna, which was great. Had the soft shelled crab sandwich and would definitely order it again. My girlfriend had the griddle crab sandwich which she enjoyed. Tasty mango martini to boot. Jon was our friendly server, that always help in addition to food.Only complaint would be to not put so much ice in the water.

Great place to go with friends and family. Food is very satisfying and seemed really fresh. A little pricey but somewhat expected since we are in the boardwalk. Our waitress Cheryl was wonderful and did a great job from start to finish.

Fun restaurant on Jersey Shore with a decent range of beers on draft. Enjoyed the soft shell crab sandwich. Unsurprisingly doesn't have any attractive vegetarian options (no veg burger); so be prepared to have a meal of fries & coleslaw if accompanying others!

Everybody has their own opinion but I am a person who only cares for the food itself, not the service, location, decoration, and all the other. I got 3 large steamed blue crabs for $25 and some cents. They were not bad but the worst crabs that I’ve ever had just because I am a crab maniac and been to so many famous crab places. So if you are looking for steamed crabs, they are not bad. My friend oredered crab cake and it was delicious and big portion.

Food was great and drinks even better 😊 Hosts were alk friendly. Will be back.

Good service

Service was great. Food was average and typical for a seasonal restaurant. Never had a drink served this way but it worked out just fine.

Food was good but prices were steep for what it was. Service was poor, our waitress seemed to be irritated that we wanted refills of water. She did not check on us after we got our food. We had to physically flag her down if we needed something. Otherwise the experience as a whole wasn't the worst. There was a good view of the beach as we ate.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!! THEY REFUSED TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY ..THE MANAGER LITERALLY TOLD ME TO POST A NEGATIVE COMMENT...I got a take out order the other day of a crab pot and two orders of blue steamed crabs. It totaled 90$. I take it home and ALL six of the blue crabs were mush.

My wife and I checked out this place on a busy evening for dinner. Got in quick. Staff was nice and pleasant. Our waitress Dawn was great, super friendly. My wife had the snow crab clusters, and I had the BBQ bacon cheeseburger both were delicious. We'll be coming back next time we stay at Point Pleasant.

Food was great, place was super busy and some of us didn't quite get what we ordered but overall enjoyable.

Great food and excellent service!!

We did not end up eating at Jake's Crab House, and this is why. We stopped in on a Saturday around 430 for an early lunch with three adults and a 6 month old. We were asked to keep our stroller outside (were 100s of people were out and about). We tried to explain that our Doona carseat/stroller was able to collapse very small, into the size of a carseat, however, we were cut off and told we could leave it at the bar. This still was not an option for us, since we have a 6 month old, who cannot sit in a normal chair or booth on his own. We said no thank you and walked next door to the restaurant next door instead.Any restaurant that would ask parents to keep their small stroller or carseat outside on the boardwalk or at the bar while eating dinner is no place I will be dinning. All in all, we would not recommend, if that is the service you receive at the front door, I can only imagine the service once seated.

Good seafood but a little on the pricey side

For the prices you pay you shouldn't have to drink from a plastic cup.Had the lobster roll, very little lobster lots of filler celery onions etc.had side of fries frozen from the bag no seasoning.And if you need your waitress you can find her in the corner talking with all the other workers.

The food was good but one waitress just kept talking to us. I didn't want to tell her to go away but we were trying to enjoy our food and some quality time. She was nice though and I don't think she meant any harm by it.

service was not good. The waitress was fine. As my wife and I where eating, a worker came over to my table from behind me, grabbed a bottle of hot sause from the table. Didn’t ask if we where using it. Didn’t even acknowledge us and gave it to another table. While waiting for the manager to come to table condensation from AC unit was dripping in our tea. When I explained this to the manager all she gave was a hollow “I’m sorry”. I asked for the check to pay for what we had already eaten and went down the boardwalk to another restaurant. I don’t pay for poor servic.

Great food, better customer service

Service was okay. There was only 1 other table in the restaurant at that time so the servers were not busy at all. Food was fantastic!

Awesome Food, Cheryl the waitress, what a Lovely woman, great fast service, nice place too boot. I had Lobster Mac n cheese, rates azad 10 in my book , Gf had the Smokehouse Burger, n sweet potato fries Yum! We'll be back...

Both their own website and Google listed them as open for lunch everyday, but the doors are locked. When I called they said they are only open for lunch on weekends in the off-season. We made plans too come to Pt. Pleasant because they were open for lunch. Shame!

This place is very high priced and they don't give you food for the money so save your money don't go there over rated .

As often as I walked the boardwalk in Point Pleasant, and passed this establishment, I never went in. Last night I went there for dinner and had the most amazing cornbread w jam and a cup of the most flavorful crab bisque soup. Yumm. Also ordered a flounder sandwich but that wasn't as fulfilling, the fish was bland, needed some seasoning. But, I will say I will be back. Have to try the clam chowder next. Check them out, worth the visit.

We stopped in during the off season, on a Monday for a late lunch. The waitress did a phenominal job. The food was amazing. And they had one my favorite SirriusXM station's The Pulse playing in the dining room.

Was at the Point Pleasant Boardwalk today with my family. We toyed with driving back into Brick and going to one of our tried-and-true spots, or just "grabbing something quick since we're already here" - and if we're being honest, neither my wife or I had high expectations. Sure, the menu looked good... but it's a boardwalk restaurant. WOW!! It may be the best fried shrimp I've ever had in my life... the lobster and steak my wife got were unbelievably flavorful... friendly staff in a very relaxed atmosphere. It isn't cheap - and I'll go so far as to say it's a tad on the pricey side - but considering it *is* on a boardwalk and how good the food was, I also know we'll definitely go back to Jake's again in the future.

We had lunch here and ate the lobster sandwich. Best my wife and I have had. We were both pleased with it and the cost was very reasonable for the large amount we were given.we will definitely be back.

I had whole blue crabs for my first time. Never again. I'll stick to crablegs. :) loved the staff.

Just dont waste your money there.

The food was good and tasty especially the corn bread. We have ordered the crab legs but felt they were pretty much dry, however the the overall experience was good. It costed pretty less than expected.

The food is awful and the hostess made us sit at a hightop with a 3 year old because she said the six lowtops that were empty were reserved for parties of 5 or more. We asked for an exception and she firmly said no. We then proceeded to watch her seat 3 lowtops with parties for 4 (which we were), 5 minutes after we were sat.We are locals and will never be back...

Food was good and service was fast. It's a bit pricey but I suppose that's expected at the beach!

If I could give it no stars I would! I had to ask for our drink order, food order and the complimentary corn bread! Horrible service! The food wasn't good either and was a waste of money. ! Wouldn't recommend!

Sub par for the money you will spend. Service was slow, waitress seemed to have other things on her mind. Next time I'll go elsewhere
